The Glen Country Club has concluded an agreement with the Camps Bay High School giving the Glen Paragliding Club members the exclusive landing rights to the Glen Field. The key terms of the agreement are as follows:
Permission Granted: The School grants the Club’s paragliding members the exclusive right to land on the Field whenever the Field is not occupied by the School or for other purposes. This authorization is granted for the purpose of safe and controlled landing only.
Scheduling and Access: The Operations Manager of the School shall notify the Paragliding Section of the Club of the times and dates when the paragliding members cannot use The Field for landing.
Compliance: The Paragliding Section of the Club shall ensure that all paragliding activities comply with local regulations and any specific rules set by the School. Each member of the Paragliding section of the Club will be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, permits or approvals required for paragliding activities.
Insurance: The Club confirms that all paragliding pilots members of the Club have third party liability insurance
A reminder that if the Field is occupied, we can, as an alternative, land on Camps Bay Beach. To facilitate compliance by visiting and foreign pilots, we will introduce a weekly membership of the Club for a fee of Rand 50. Registration will take place by scanning the QR code on the signage at the Lower Lion’s Head take-off or directly on our website.
